Greg Steele

President, CEO, Sales & Business Development

Greg Steele has been in Software Development for over 25 years, and helps guide customers toward awe-inspiring solutions to their business problems.

Greg served as a software development team leader for Sprint in Dallas, Vice President of a multi-million dollar IT department at Security Capital Group Inc, President of Steele Consulting Software Development for 12 years, and he serves on the board of several IT related companies.

He directs a company consisting of over 50 software developers and engineers and regularly manages complex IT projects. He has designed and implemented solutions for transportation, medical, parking, sports, telecommunications, warehousing, financial, commercial real estate, construction, and many other industries.
He’s directed projects for companies such as GE, InterPark, Peter Piper Pizza, Interviewstream, Sprint, Security Capital Group, Verde Realty, Stevens Transportation, Rich Logistics, US Jet, and dozens of others.

He has a wife and 4 children.

Donny Cannoy

Vice-President, Chief People Officer, Software & Systems Architecture

Donny Cannoy has helped establish a world-class culture at Steele Consulting, and is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. He has been in Software Development for over 23 years.

Donny is an accomplished senior architect with high levels of experience in most web technologies and is one of the premier experts on SQL Server configuration and optimization for high-volume critical success environments. He has developed multi-location live sync database applications with built-in fault tolerance.

Donny has helped architect, deploy, and support redundant data centers, with disaster recovery strategies, and is an expert at network configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting. He is a deployment professional in networking, storage, servers, voice, virtualization, and security, having worked with Big-IP f5, Dell, Cisco, Fortigate, SonicWall, VMWare, NetApp, and many others. He is also an expert at most databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Access, and mySQL. Donny regularly works with high-volume, critical applications for large companies such as GE, InterPark, Desert Forwarding, StageCoach Cartage Inc, Responsive Learning and InterviewStream.

He is happily married with 8 children and 3 grandchildren, and spends his free time bowling in leagues and tournaments, refereeing and coaching youth soccer matches in American Youth Soccer Organization, playing music, and pastoring a church he and his wife started in 2010, Upper Valley Vineyard.

Matthew Kurupas

Chief Operating Officer

Matt has been with Steele Consulting since 2013 and has worked in software development for over 10 years. He worked as a research assistant to the head of the computer science department

at NMSU for 2 years,researching and creating applications for visually impaired persons to better interact with computers and the world around them. At Steele, Matt specializes in forging extremely strong relationships with clients as well as the teams within the company. He works closely with Greg Steele and Donny Cannoy to start up new connections with clients and works with independent teams alongside team leaders to fanatically serve clients. This requires him to stay on top of the latest and greatest technologies in his spare time to provide the best direction for not only the clients but for the company.

Steven Schumacher

Chief Product Officer & Recruiting

Steven has been a part of Steele Consulting since December 2011. He specializes in managing multiple development teams

with multiple projects. One of which consisted of overseeing a team writing a TMS (transportation management system) where he and his team of 4 developers re-wrote and developed a frontend for an existing backend database with an API first approach and then an Angular 5 frontend that focused on improving the user’s experience and quality of workflow. Before joining the team at Steele, he went to school at NMSU for civil engineering, and after finishing his degree found his niche in software development.

Ryan Stopani

Director of Support Services

Ryan has worked in the tech industry for over 20 years and has been with Steele Consulting since 2006. Ryan worked with Prologis, one of the largest industrial real estate companies in the world

where he implemented real estate management applications in Japan and China for several years. Ryan specializes in managing development and supporting teams, SQL, ASP.NET, Project Management, Moving Company Software, Real Estate Management Applications (MRI, Yardi), Great Plains and Crystal Reports. Ryan managed a 7 person support and development team for GE Capital Real Estate that replaced 20+ offshore and onshore contractors, reducing ticket turn around time and drastically improving customer satisfaction. He also managed the design and creation of an industry changing web application that handles logistics for UniGroup member moving companies. Ryan has been married to his wife and best friend Kathy for 20 years and they have 2 grown children, 3 spoiled dogs and 2 cats.
